PsyBA Approved Supervisor Training

Clinical Supervision Services has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia as a Board-approved Supervisor Training Provider. The following training options include:

Full training,comprising:

  •     Part 1: Online learning module and knowledge assessment test
  •     Part 2: 2-day workshop integrating theory and small group practice
  •     Part 3: Competency-based assessment and evaluation

Master classes:  There are 8 Master Classes to choose from:

  •     Reflective Practice and Parallel Process in Supervision
  •     Systems persepctive  in supervision
  •     Professional Practice and ethical issues in supervision (offered both distance education and face to face workshop)
  •     Neuropsychology Supervision: For Clinical Neuropsychologists and Clinical/Psychologists providing
        neuropsychology services, with Dr. Nicola Gates
  •     Clinical Supervision for School Counsellors , with Lydia Senediak
  •     Supervision for Trauma Informed Practice (offered both distance education and face to face workshop)
  •     Clinical Supervision in Adult Mental Heatlh: Managing risk, self-care and ethics, with Sam Vasta (offered both distance education and face to face workshop)
  •     Supervision for Organisational Psychologists, with Fernanda Alfonso

Both the Full Training and Master Classes have been developed in accordance with the training framework and standards of the Board as specified in the PsyBA’s ‘Guidelines for supervisors and supervisor training providers’.  The programs are designed to meet the needs of registered psychologists who seek or wish to retain supervisor endorsement for supervising:

  •     4 + 2 internship program
  •     5 + 1 internship program
  •     Higher degree practicum placements
  •     Registrar program leading to practice endorsement of clinical psychology
