ABOUT THE SESSIONS:

This program aims to provide an opportunity for practitioners who provide supervision to review and reflect on their practice in small-group Supervision of Supervision sessions. The program will offer post-training support to maximise your efforts to become an effective supervisor. Sessions will cover how to approach challenges in supervision in the ethical and professional practice domains with an emphasis on reflecting on supervisor strategies and responsibilities. The group process in these sessions is vital, as it provides a forum to share and learn from peers working in similar practice settings.

Groups will be facilitated by our senior trainer Sam Vasta and will consist of 5 x 2-hour sessions held in 2026, in closed groups with a maximum of 7 participants per group.

3 separate groups are offered with discipline-specific sessions offered on different days.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

The program is suitable for those providing supervision to practitioners in the general fields of psychology, social work, psychotherapy, counselling or other related work. This includes supervisors whose role is to provide clinical supervision, but also those who have a dual role across managerial/operational and clinical supervision. Participants in this program need to have completed some formal training in supervision.

STRUCTURE OF SESSIONS:

For the 5 x 2-hour sessions, the cost is $540.00 with certification from CSS that you have participated in the Supervision of Supervision program for a total of 10 cpd hours. Sessions will be conducted online via interactive videoconference, to offer greater accessibility. Participants will be asked to provide examples of their supervision practice with a focus for review and reflection and to contribute to the group process by sharing their ideas and insights within a reflective practice framework. The group facilitator will introduce some brief structured learning and reflective tasks to further consolidate and enhance supervision skills and practice frameworks.
