Structural FT & Solution Focused BT
This online module is divided into two topics. Topic 1 describes the core concepts of Structural Family Therapy (SFT).
The course overs the underlying assumptions of SFT, how to shift unhelpful and rigid transactional patterns and boundaries. Core concepts such as power and hierarchy, sequences, enactments and working with systems and subsystems is reviewed including video examples of applying in practice.
Topic 2 covers the core concepts of Brief Therapy and the Solution Focused approach. Participants will learn use the questioning techniques of looking for previous solutions/exceptions, present and future focused questions, scaling questions, using compliments and the ‘miracle question’.
This module is 1 of 6 modules in the Core Skills in Family Therapy Course.
