Working with Families: Fundamentals of Systemic Family Therapy (2 day workshop)
This workshop covers the core concepts and techniques of family therapy practice, providing an overview of the influence of the major schools of thought on contemporary practice. The emphasis will be on applying theory as systemic practice, through teaching, demonstration, video, role play, case illustrations, group discussion and small group exercises. The workshop can be delivered by videoconference or face to face.
This workshop is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN).

Systemic Family Assessment and Practice (1-day workshop)
Small group interactive workshop delivered by videoconference or face to face. This workshop will provide participants with an introduction on how to use genograms in assessment and develop a sound case formulation plan to apply family-focused interventions, keeping in mind the complexity of a family’s context, transgenerational history, patterns of interaction and events. Participants will be introduced to exploring family patterns of both contributing and maintaining factors influencing the development and maintenance of problem behaviours and relationships.
