Successful completion of this course provides participants with the Clinical Supervision Services Certificate of Attainment in Professional Supervision.
This Australian Counselling Association (ACA) approved training allows participants to apply to ACA to become an ACA Registered Supervisor or ACA Recognised Supervisor. Applicants should refer to ACA for ACA membership and supervisor requirements prior to enrolling.
The aim of this course is to provide a framework for conducting and evaluating effective clinical supervision using a competency-based framework incorporating reflective practice. Participants will develop the necessary skills for setting up a rewarding clinical supervision relationship to enhance supervisee learning and skill development, considering the systemic issues of their workplace/team and client group.
How the course is structured:
Part 1: Supervision E-Workbook with self-assessment and learning tasks
Part 2: 2-day Interactive skills based workshop - face to face
Part 3: 1-day Assessment of Competency: conducting a supervision session – live feedback and report

Successful completion of this course provides participants with the Certificate of Supervisor Accreditation (PACFA).
This Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) accredited training allows participants to apply to PACFA for accreditation as a PACFA Accredited Supervisor.
Applicants must consult PACFA directly regarding accreditation criteria prior to enrolling.
The aim of this course is to provide a framework for conducting and evaluating effective clinical supervision using a competency-based framework incorporating reflective practice. Participants will develop the necessary skills for setting up a rewarding clinical supervision relationship to enhance supervisee learning and skill development, considering the systemic issues of their workplace/team and client group.
How the course is structured:
Part 1: Supervision E-Workbook with self-assessment and learning tasks
Part 2: 3 day interactive skills based workshop - face to face
Part 3: Supervision Practice Small Tutorial Groups (12 hours)
Part 4: Trainee logbook of 10 hours of trainee supervisor-provided supervision plus 3 hours of Supervision on Supervision (13 hours)

Who is this training for?
1. ACA Approved Supervision Course: This course is suitable for counsellors and psychotherapists wishing to become ACA Recognised Supervisors or ACA Registered Supervisors with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
ACA Registered Supervisor – is an ACA Member who is a member of the ACA College of Supervisors
ACA Recognised Supervisor – is a non-ACA member who is a counsellor who has completed an approved course but is not eligible to join the ACA College of Supervisors. Refer to ACA for ACA membership and supervisor requirements.
2. PACFA Accredited Supervisor Course: This course is suitable for counsellors and psychotherapists wishing to become PACFA Accredited Supervisors with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5 years post training experience as a qualified psychotherapist or counsellor, with a minimum of 3 years as a PACFA Clinical Registrant or 3 years as a member of another comparable Professional Association at an equivalent membership level. Refer to PACFA for PACFA membership and supervisor requirements prior to enrolling.
